Iron Man Mark LXXXV (Avengers: Endgame) Hot Toys – Sixth Scale Figure is Now Available For Pre-Order!0
If there’s one type of Hot Toys collector that is always ready and eager for the next release it would have to be the devout following of Iron Man collectors of sixth scale figures. When first getting into the hobby I was shocked by the number of sixth scale Iron Man Movie Masterpiece Series releases that Hot Toys was pumping into the marketplace. Is there even a customer out there buying every single one of these? It quickly became obvious to me that the answer was a definite yes constantly seeing pictures of huge collectors of exclusively different Iron Man armors, figures, accessories – you name it. With Avengers: Endgame just around the corner to kick off the announcements it looks like Hot Toys has unveiled Iron Man Mark LXXXV (Avengers: Endgame) Sixth Scale Figure – one of the several armor types we will see in the upcoming film due out April 26th, 2019.
With all kinds of different theories circulating among fans about how Avengers: Endgame is going to play out it’s very likely that we will see Mark L (Mark 50) that we saw from Avengers: Infinity War and this newly unveiled armor type, Mark 85 both in the upcoming film. If you haven’t yet.. now would be the best time to lock in a Pre-Order for Iron Man Mark L (Avengers: Infinity War) Sixth Scale Figure – before it’s too late and it’s sold out everywhere! As far as design of this new suit is concerned, it’s nice to see a return to a more balanced use of both the Red & Gold in the suit. Another welcome change is that more bulky look of early armor releases like the Mark VII for example. This version does not look as streamlined and “aerodynamic” as Mark L which gives Iron Man a more classic comic book look.
As with any Hot Toys Iron Man release this one is likely to sell out at some point (either before or after release is hard to say) and will climb in price in the secondary market just like every other Diecast Iron Man Hot Toys figure that’s been released to date. Sure, a $400+ price-tag is not easy to swallow but if you opt to pass now and end up having to source one later you will pay in many cases 20-50%+ more from secondary sources like eBay or other marketplaces. This very well could be the last release of Iron Man that we see with Robert Downey Jr. leading the role if the rumours are believed to be true so do you really want to miss out on such an iconic release?
